A View Of Fall Foliage In Connecticut

As the autumn sets in the leaves start displaying various tints and hues, filling people with true joie de vivre, especially to those who live in or visit New England and the Northwest of United States. Connecticut is also one of the hallmarks for taking the brilliant fall color tours. The region offers a plenty of ways to enjoy the leaves and their brilliance.

The state of Connecticut has 20 hot air balloon companies that offer a bird's eye view of the fall color bouquet. Some of them even offer special deals that include stays at some of the beautiful and hospitable bed-and-breakfast inns throughout the state. You can even have champagne balloon rides.

One of the more popular ways to see the fall foliage in Connecticut is to enjoy cruises. There are many different waterways in the state, and it also borders the Atlantic, so it is possible to take a sea-faring tour as well. There are a variety of cruises that include education and historical tours, as well as those for pure luxury. There are even cruises that last for multiple days.

Horse back riding especially by the moonlight is a more romantic way of catching the autumn spirit. You can savor the vibrance of colored leaves and the nature. Though the horse back riding goes on throughout the year yet autumn is the best time to enjoy the wonders of the foliage fall.

Following the Connecticut Wine Trail is a great way to enjoy beautiful and fine wines. Grape stomping contest abound, and there are many wine tastings available. There are 14 vineyards along the trail, and it can be explored using a car or on a bike. The tradition of wine trails in the Northeast is alive and well in Connecticut, and offers a relaxing way to enjoy the fall season.

For those who prefer to make their own way and explore the back roads, there is also plenty to be seen from the car. Plan your own drive through Connecticut's beauty rural countryside and see the trees in all their splendor. There are plenty of bed and breakfast inns in the rural back roads, and these make cozy and comfortable stays. You do need to make reservations, for the inns are full during the autumn.

Do remember to enjoy the roadside dining during the fall foliage in Connecticut. The roadside small towns offer great and aplenty steak, seafood, New England delicacies and on the whole some awesome quaint dinners. The food is mostly fresh and organically grown.

A trip to Connecticut during autumn provides endless delights. There is much to see and do in a very relaxing manner that is unhurried. It is an escape from normal life into one that is simpler. Food, beautiful scenery, and cozy places to stay. Oh, and sparkling wine and good company.
