By: African Trails

I am sure that a huge desert would come to your mind when you think of Namibia. I am not saying that it is untrue but the Etosha National Park proves that there is more than just desert in Namibia, Africa. The meaning of Etosha is ‘Great White Place’. If you want to experience a proper and perfect Safari holiday in Africa then you should visit the Etosha National Park. This national Park was the biggest reserve of the world till 1960. The Etosha National Park is located on the north of Namibia and it is one of the extremely famous national parks in Africa.

The Etosha National Park has lovely nature on display and the scenery there is mind-blowing. Apart from that you will find that the infrastructure in the Etosha National Park is great for a day trip. There are three rest camps in this national park; Okaukuejo, Namutoni and Halali. All these camps are linked with proper roads, hotels, swimming pools, stores, camping sites, restaurants, etc. You will find game viewing here absolutely breath-taking and out of this world. You can expect to see more than just flamingoes when you are in Etosha National Park because of numerous watering holes on Etosha pan’s border.

As the Etosha pan provides water to the wildlife in the national park, you would be able to see lions, rhinos, giraffes, elephants; maybe leopards and cheetah if you are lucky. I am sure you must have heard some people saying that going on a safari can be risky but believe me, it is not ask risky as people think it to be. Of course, risk is always there but the risk present is extremely small. This park has taken all necessary actions to ensure the safety of the visitors visiting the Etosha National Park.
